Horrible customer service skills! AVOID THIS RENTAL CAR COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I was given a dirty car with food inside and dog fur on the back seat! I drove the car to the store and realized the doors didn’t lock and had to take it back considering I didn’t want my belongings stolen. I got back to the counter and the rude (manager I think she is) told me that I would have to wait 1 hour and a half for another car. I waited and then upon going to the counter she told me I would be charged for the gas and I told her that was fine. She had a nasty attitude and acted like she didn’t want to give me another vehicle after waiting that long and I told her I just want something cleaner so that I could go because I was tired of waiting and she rudely slammed the paper on the desk saying sign here and I asked why did she have and attitude. She asked did I want the car or not, and then I told her just give my money back since the car was already paid for from my credit card. She got mad and called Albany security on me and never gave my money back! DON’T do business there. It’s very unprofessional and cleanliness isn’t a priority although they want your money but want to treat you any type of way there. Don’t do business there!

Hidden charges, false charges, and dirty cars. I'd say to avoid this place, but I think they're about the only place around there to get rentals so just be careful with them. We got a rental SUV from here and it smelled like pure marijuana. We reported that and were told just not to worry about it, which did not inspire confidence. When we turned it in they had a fuel charge on it without even checking it first, and they had some other charges on there. I complained and they said they just assumed it needed fuel "because they always do" and tried to explain some of the other charges as accidents. I managed to get most of them removed but some they wouldn't. Mind you, I had just parked it outside, walked in and tried to return it. No one had looked at it yet. It was still out there untouched when I went through security an hour later. This place is shady but they've got the monopoly in the area I guess.

Do not rent cars smell terrible and are never ready on time and no compensation customer service is horrible and they also hold your deposit for an entire week after the car has been returned

We rented car from Albany Airport. Was given a dirty car(see photos) and smelled like weed we took pics to prove. Brought car back and was told we would be charged $500 for cleaning because there was dog hair in the car. A Ms Rachitta was extremely rude and even though we had pictures to prove the car was dirty when picked up she was so proud to still charge us the fee for pet hair. I have always rented from Enterprise and Budget. I will Never rent from this company again. Worst customer service and totally unprofessional. We will also be calling corporate.

The lady who works there is never on time. They are supposed open at 8:00am, but she gets there when she feels like it I guess. The first time I used them, I had an 8am reservation, and she was 45 minutes late and came in with a piece of trash in her hair and looked like she just woke up out of a ditch. The next time, there was a dirty hand written sign on the counter that said call this number for assistance. 20 minutes later she showed up, again looking like she just woke up in a short pull over dress thing that was too short and too low cut, exposing way too much of her tattooed breasts. She did not appear to have on a bra. Before she could help me, she had to slather lotion all over her face. She had an attitude like it was a problem for me to have an 8am reservation. The third time, the same crusty sign was there, she showed up 20 minutes after I called, but this time she actually put some effort into her appearance. She had her wig on, a skirt and a blazer I think, and she had on some nicer heeled shoes instead of flip flops. There are several other car rental desks within 10 feet for other companies, and those ladies are always there before 8, and they wear nice clean professional looking uniform dress shirts. I only use this Avis location because it's a lot cheaper than the other companies, and they always have cars.
