New Republic Brewing
What people are saying
My friends and I come here regularly for good reason. It's a fun, yet chill, relaxed environment. From college kids kicking back, families with kids to thirty somethings...and pets...everyone hangs out for a good time. If you are looking for an impressive selection of local craft beers in a Texas biergarten atmosphere come here!! (I was born and raised in New Braunfels so I know a thing or two about such venues.) The bands & food trucks change weekly, so check out their website and social media outlets for current info. They always have their signature beers and some additional new ones. (I ordered a flight a few weeks ago because couldn't decide) Kadigan is my all time fav. I'd give 5+ stars if I could!
This is a friendly little brewery on the outskirts of town. It’s kind of hard to find, but slow down and keep an eye on your GPS and you might find it after one or two attempts. It’s down a small driveway located in an industrial area behind some other buildings. The inside is pretty small with only four picnic tables to sit at. However, there’s plenty of picnic table seating in the backyard with canopies covering them to keep you out of the elements. There’s also an outdoor stage, so I assume they have live music from time to time. The only downside is the mosquitoes. They really need to get a handle on that pesky problem. The only restrooms are porta potties out back, but they were clean. They have six beers that they keep on tap year round, and one rotating seasonal brew. I had the Dammit Jim amber ale (a little on the hoppy side, but not too bad). I also recommend the Skylight Dunkelweizen for the wheat beer fans out there. All beers are 1 buck off all day Tuesdays.
One of the coolest places I've ever been to. If you enjoy craft brews, corn hole, and good conversation, this is the place to go! John is a great point man.
Solid mainstays, and you should welcome the experimentals. Probably better when the weather is agreeable, but neat loft space otherwise. Worth a trip when visiting town.
Tried every kind of beer they had to offer. The beer was good, the atmosphere was great and it was a fun experience overall.
